The Australian Wiltipoll Association Inc.

The Australian Wiltipoll Association Inc. was formed in 1996 and now numbers more than 170 members in six states - NSW VIC SA QLD  TAS and WA. The breed is now well established in Australia with 141 flocks and 4008 breeding ewes registered in volume 11 of the Association's Flock Register.

Requirements for registration of Wiltipoll sheep in the Association's Flock Register are that the sheep have at least 96.87% Wiltshire Horn blood, are polled and shed their fleece annually.

Wiltipoll registration is available to crossbred sheep starting at third cross and grading up to fifth cross, which is full registration.

In 1999 the Australian Wiltipoll Association Inc. became a member of the Society of Breeders of British Sheep Ltd now known as The Australian Stud Sheep Breeders Association Ltd and Wiltipoll sheep were recorded in the Society's 1999 Flock register for the first time.

Annual Membership Fees:

  • Member with no flock or flock up to 20 ewes    -   $50.00
  • Member with flock of 21 ewes up to 100 ewes - $100.00
  • Member with flock of 101 ewes and over          - $150.00
