Interstate bidders lift Wiltipoll Sale

The first annual combined Wiltipoll breeders’ sale at Mt Pleasant Showgrounds in October 2006 achieved good results.

Rams reached a peak of $1,450 and ewes $840 as 110 rams and ewes went under the hammer.

South Australian Livestock auctioneer Tony Arscott said competition was strong throughout and the small contingent of interstate buyers was a credit to the vendors’ quality of sheep on offer.

A total of 25 different buyers secured sheep.
